First things first, let’s take a look at the Wild.
Represented by a flaming Fire Pit, this symbol appears on all but the first reel and substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. It also triggers multipliers at random. The fact that it doesn’t appear on the first reel means it can’t trigger wins on its own, but just like the fires that lit Theseus’s way, it’s still an important part of the story.
The Minotaur is also a big player. It can appear stacked, triggers a win when just two appear, and offers the biggest payout of the game’s main symbols.
The Scatter symbol is another icon to look out for. It’s a golden shield with the words “Free Games”, and a minimum of 3 are needed to trigger the main feature. The more of these you see on the reels, the more games you’ll get:
- 3 Scatter Symbols = 8 Bonus Games
- 4 Scatter Symbols = 15 Bonus Games
- 5 Scatter Symbols = 25 Bonus Games
- 6 Scatter Symbols = 100 Bonus Games
The feature can be retriggered with 2 to 6 Scatters and there are an additional 100 games up for grabs.
During the Bonus Games feature, the 4,096 paylines increase to 14,400, increasing the chances of a payout. These paylines come courtesy of a feature known as “All Ways”. It means that there are no traditional paylines. Instead, a win is formed when there are matching symbols moving from one reel to another.
If, for instance, the Minotaur appears on the first three reels, it’ll payout for 3-on-a-payline, regardless of how seemingly disjointed those connections are. If it only appears on the first, third, and fourth reels, there will be no payout, as there is no unbroken connection.
Progressive Jackpot
The graphics, stories, and features are just the start—Age of the Gods: Maze Keeper really comes to life during the Jackpot Game. This game activates at random and can appear during any spin. Unlike some other progressive jackpot systems, you don’t need to wager a minimum to be in with a chance of triggering this feature.
As long as you’re spinning, there’s a chance you can win, and as soon as the Jackpot Game begins, you’re guaranteed to walk away with a prize. If you fail to act during this game, the decision will be made automatically, and you’ll still win something.
There are four jackpots to win. These are progressive, so they are growing all of the time. Take a look above the game reels to see the current jackpot totals.
