BTS fans are flooding Las Vegas Chinatown this week, and Spring Mountain Road businesses are taking notice. The K-pop supergroup is performing at Allegiant Stadium for four nights, May 23 through 28. Business owners along the corridor say it is the busiest they have been all year. "Most businesses I talked to are reporting anywhere from 50 to 75% increase from a normal weekend," said Joe Muscaglione of ChinatownVegas.com.

How the BTS Army Effect Hit Chinatown's Small Businesses

The so-called BTS Army effect is driving fans directly to Chinatown's mom-and-pop shops. Band member J-Hope visited Urban Matcha and ordered a shaved ice matcha dessert. Videos of the visit circulated widely on social media, and lines formed outside the door shortly after. Fans also tracked establishments listed on a BTS Army live feed. Some venues hosted BTS-themed events with special menu items. "Where they go, we know it's going to be good," said one fan visiting from the Bay Area. Catherine Francisco of the AAPI Chamber noted that BTS fans have a distinct reputation. "They bring a factor to them as they love to support small businesses, and as they support small businesses, the Army follows," Francisco said.

Chinatown Restaurants See Sales Surge During BTS Week

Several restaurants reported significant gains. Shanghai Taste nearly broke a record. "It was our busiest three days in a row since 2023. We had an hour wait from before we opened till after we closed," Muscaglione said. Newer establishments also benefited. Pot on Fire, which opened in November 2025, saw business jump by roughly 60 to 70%. "We had nonstop customers coming in, definitely quite long lineups," said Xiao Li of Pot on Fire. Late-night spots gained too. "We did get busy after like 11 pm, midnight," said Maho Sugai, general manager at Ichiza. The surge also helped lesser-known spots gain visibility. "At first, some people don't know we actually opened," Li said.

Las Vegas Chinatown Eyes Bigger Growth After BTS Boost

Businesses are preparing for continued demand. Extra staff are being scheduled, and inventory is being stocked.

The boost follows a packed weekend tied to the Electric Daisy Carnival.

Francisco credited back-to-back major events for raising Chinatown's profile. Muscaglione agreed that the neighborhood has transformed. "It went from a virtually unknown neighborhood to like a tourist magnet," he said. Owners are already anticipating November, when Lisa from BLACKPINK performs in Las Vegas. "I definitely expect more people coming in, definitely, especially in larger parties," Li said. "It was an economic B12 booster shot for businesses in this town. I've never seen anything like it," Muscaglione added.
