Circa Las Vegas Adds 49 Rooms With New Platinum Floors

Circa Resort & Casino has unveiled two new hotel floors in downtown Las Vegas. The addition brings 49 rooms to floors 49 and 50, with the space set to open Sept. 1. CEO Derek Stevens confirmed the debut in an interview ahead of Tuesday's reveal. He said demand for existing rooms drove the expansion, and the new floors were always part of Circa's original construction plan. Builders left several upper floors unfinished when the resort opened in 2020. That approach let the company study guest preferences before finishing the space. The rooms bring Circa's total inventory to more than 660 keys.

Circa's New Platinum Floors: Rooms and Amenities

Circa is calling the two new levels its platinum floors. The floors include upgraded standard king rooms in single and double configurations. Guests can also book a studio suite or a one-bedroom suite. The one-bedroom suite includes the option to connect a second room. A new category, the Founders Entourage Suite, debuts as well. Stevens said the floors carry top-tier finishes and amenities throughout. Hallways feature upgraded lighting fixtures and wall paneling. Furnishings in the standard king rooms were refreshed too. The goal was a higher-end product than Circa's existing rooms. Stevens said the property wanted rooms that matched the demand data gathered since 2020.

From Shelled Floors to Phased Hotel Expansion

Circa opened in 2020 without finishing all of its hotel floors. Seven floors sat as shells while the resort tested its early room types. Four of those floors were completed in 2024, adding 106 rooms and suites. That expansion included Sunset Suites and single-king rooms. Stevens said the staggered approach let Circa evaluate real guest demand before building further.

Rather than guessing at room mixes, the company gathered data as it grew.

That strategy shaped decisions on bed sizes, suite layouts, and amenities. Guest feedback pushed Circa to prioritize king beds and in-room refrigeration. This month's addition marks the next phase of that same buildout process. Three shelled floors reportedly remain for future development at the property.

Demand Driving Growth

Stevens pointed to strong booking demand as the reason for the expansion. "We just don't have enough keys down here," he told the Review-Journal. "That's the reality." Circa originally opened with 512 rooms in December 2020. The 2024 expansion pushed that total to 618 rooms, and this latest addition continues that growth.

Downtown Las Vegas has seen steady visitor demand in recent years. Circa remains an adults-only property, requiring guests to be 21 or older. The resort also houses a large sportsbook and the rooftop Legacy Club lounge. Stevens has continued reinvesting profits into the property since its 2020 opening.
