Wynn's "Awakening" to Close Permanently on Oct. 10, 2026

Wynn Las Vegas has confirmed that "Awakening" will close permanently on Oct. 10, 2026. The high-tech production has played in the resort's 1,600-seat Awakening Theater since Nov. 7, 2022, when it replaced the long-running aquatic show "Le Rêve." Wynn said a new production will take over the theater sometime in 2027, though it has not released further details. The closure ends a nearly four-year run for one of the Strip's most technologically ambitious productions. "Awakening" featured narration by Anthony Hopkins and a cast of 60 international performers. Tickets remain on sale for the final performances through the closing date.

Wynn Confirms Final Performance

Wynn Las Vegas released a statement confirming the show's final performance date. In the statement, Wynn said, "Awakening will conclude its run on Oct. 10 as we prepare a new production for the theater." Wynn's statement also thanked the producers, cast, crew, and creative team behind the show's four-year run.

Final performances are scheduled multiple times daily. The show plays Friday through Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday matinees are set for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets remain available through the Wynn box office and Ticketmaster ahead of the closing date. Wynn has not announced whether it will add extra performances before the closing date.

Inside Awakening's Nearly Four-Year Run

"Awakening" opened on Nov. 7, 2022, inside Wynn's custom-built theater-in-the-round. It replaced "Le Rêve," the resort's long-running aquatic production that closed during the pandemic. The show launched with a cast of 60 international performers and more than 100 crew members, with Anthony Hopkins narrating throughout its run.

The 1,600-seat Awakening Theater features a 360-degree stage designed for immersive storytelling. It combines puppetry, illusions, choreography and an original musical score. The show earned "Best Production Show" honors from the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association. According to Wynn's website, the show runs 80 minutes without an intermission. Producers Bernie Yuman, Baz Halpin, and Michael Curry led the show's creative team.

What's Next for Wynn's Theater and the Vegas Strip

Wynn's next show is expected to debut sometime in 2027. Specific details about the incoming production have not been released.
