Raiders Commit $25M to Nevada's First Kids' Hospital

The Las Vegas Raiders and Intermountain Health announced a $25 million gift on Aug. 24 to help build Nevada's first stand-alone children's hospital. The gift is the largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history. Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman each contributed $5 million toward the project. The Raiders organization committed the remaining $10 million. At 828,000 square feet, the hospital will rise on a 33-acre campus. It will sit at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. The location anchors a new hub for pediatric care in southern Nevada.

Hospital to Offer 180 Beds and Advanced Pediatric ER

The hospital will feature 180 patient beds, with room to grow. It will offer advanced emergency services built specifically for children. A full outpatient center will operate alongside inpatient and specialty care. "The Las Vegas Raiders are making our largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history because we are dedicated to building a healthier future for kids in Nevada," said Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. "We want this gift to remind children and families that they have our team backing them and that the support of the entire Raider Nation is in their corner."

Nevada currently has no stand-alone children's hospital, making this project the first of its kind in the state.

Raiders Name Rehab Space and Bistro in New Hospital

Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital will name two spaces after the Raiders. The team plays at Allegiant Stadium, a central fixture of the city's sports and entertainment economy. The physical therapy and rehabilitation space will carry the team's name. Its hospital bistro, adjacent to the main lobby, will become the Las Vegas Raiders Bistro. Both spaces are designed for healing and recovery for young patients and their families.

"The Raiders are committed to excellence, and this gift is a generational investment that will keep families closer, strengthen our community, and give every kid every chance to thrive," said Mitch Cloward, Intermountain Health's region president. Intermountain Health has partnered with the Raiders organization since 2019.

Raiders' Nevada Legacy and Intermountain's Wide Reach

The gift builds on the Raiders' community record since relocating in 2020. The franchise has increasingly used its Nevada platform for philanthropic initiatives beyond football. Intermountain Health operates 34 hospitals and roughly 400 clinics across six western states. The nonprofit system employs about 4,600 physicians and advanced care providers. Its Select Health plan serves more than one million members. The Nevada Children's Hospital project marks the system's largest pediatric care expansion in the state. It is also the Raiders' biggest community investment since their arrival in Nevada.
