Las Vegas Strip Gaming Win Rises 3.64% to $776M in July

Las Vegas Strip casinos posted a gaming win of $776.3 million in July 2026, a 3.64% increase over July 2025. The Nevada Gaming Control Board released the figures Thursday, covering the state's 453 largest casinos. Statewide, gaming win reached $1.39 billion, up 2.07% year-on-year. Nevada gaming tax collections tied to July revenue totaled $98.46 million, a 3.44% increase from a year earlier. Analysts pointed to strong table games performance, driven in part by baccarat, as the main driver of the Strip's total. The month also marked the start of Nevada's new fiscal year, which runs from July 2026 through June 2027.

Table Games Drive July's Strip Revenue Gain

Table games led July's revenue gain across Strip casinos. Table drop, the amount wagered at table games, rose 24% year-on-year. Baccarat volumes climbed 43% compared with July 2025. Excluding baccarat, table volumes were still up 15% year-on-year. J.P. Morgan analyst Daniel Politzer detailed the trend in a note to investors. Slot handle rose 4.8% year-on-year, reaccelerating from a 1% gain in June. Politzer noted that the July table drop reflected baccarat volumes up 43% year-on-year. He added that July was "the highest of 2026" for table drop.

Table hold fell to 12.4%, down from 17.3% a year earlier. Win still climbed despite the lower hold percentage.

Entertainment Calendar and Regional Casinos Shine

A packed entertainment calendar helped drive July's table game activity. UFC 329 featured Conor McGregor in a July 11 bout on the Strip. Concert residencies and shows ran throughout the month. Performers included Ed Sheeran, Kenny Chesney and the Backstreet Boys. Marc Anthony, Kelly Clarkson and New Kids on the Block also performed. The Fourth of July holiday weekend added another draw, coinciding this year with the United States' 250th anniversary.

North Las Vegas casinos benefited from the activity, with wins up 3.38% to $25.5 million. Laughlin and Mesquite posted more modest results. Its win in Laughlin was roughly flat at $41 million, while Mesquite held near $15.1 million.

Nevada's Statewide Win and Tax Collections Rise

Statewide gaming win reached $1.39 billion for July. That figure marked a 2.07% increase from July 2025. Clark County reported $1.17 billion in gaming win, up 1.51%. Downtown Las Vegas win fell 8.64% to $68.5 million. The Boulder Strip dropped 2.48% to $82.7 million for the month. Washoe County posted a 2.91% gain, reaching $105.8 million. Sparks casinos rose 9.45%, partly aided by a bowling tournament in Reno.

Nevada collected $98.46 million in percentage fees tied to July's taxable revenue. That collection rose 3.44% from the same period last year. Calendar-year gaming win statewide is now up 3% from 2025.
