Lionel Richie Adds Six New Wynn Las Vegas Residency Dates

Lionel Richie is returning to the Las Vegas Strip this fall. The singer has added six new dates to his Wynn residency. Richie will perform at Encore Theater on Oct. 14, 16, and 17, then return on Nov. 11, 13, and 14. The shows continue his long-running "King of Hearts" residency. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, July 31. A fan club presale begins first, followed by an American Express presale. These are Richie's first Las Vegas shows since a health scare interrupted his summer tour.

Lionel Richie's Wynn Residency and Career Highlights

Lionel Richie's residency began at the Encore Theater in 2019. He has performed more than 50 sold-out shows there since then. The venue previously hosted his "Say Hello to the Hits" show. That production was later renamed "Lionel Richie: King of Hearts." All six fall performances begin at 8 p.m. inside the intimate theater. The October dates fall on a Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. November's dates follow the same weekly pattern one month later. Wynn Las Vegas describes the show as a career-spanning collection of hits. Richie has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide. His accolades include an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards.

Ticket Presale Schedule and Summer Tour Update

Ticket sales follow a three-tier rollout starting this week. A fan club presale opens Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pacific time. An American Express cardholder presale follows on Thursday at the same hour. General public tickets go on sale Friday, also at 10 a.m. Pacific. Fans can find full details through Wynn Las Vegas or LionelRichie.com. The Vegas return comes as Richie wraps up a separate summer tour. He has been co-headlining arenas nationwide alongside Earth, Wind & Fire. That joint tour, called "Sing A Song All Night Long," began June 24. It marks the third time the two acts have toured together.

Health Scare, Postponed Shows, and Richie's Return

A health issue forced Richie to cut short his June 24 opening show. The incident happened in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the tour's launch. Two subsequent shows in Chicago and Columbus were postponed as a result. Richie resumed performing days later in Pittsburgh on June 30. The postponed Chicago and Columbus dates were rescheduled for the fall. Chicago's makeup show is now set for Sept. 30. Columbus follows on Oct. 2, closing out the touring schedule. Richie's Wynn residency then begins less than two weeks later. The Las Vegas shows give fans a second chance to see him.

Richie has continued performing regularly since his early June recovery.
