Metallica Returns to Sphere for Weekend Three in Las Vegas

Metallica returns to Sphere this week for the third weekend of its "Life Burns Faster" residency. The band plays Thursday, October 15, and Saturday, October 17. Both shows are sold out, according to the band's official tour page.

The residency's footprint now reaches beyond the venue. Metallica has lined up a slate of "Las Vegas Takeover" fan events around the Strip, including a pop-up at The Venetian Resort, a memorabilia event at The Palazzo, and cigar happy hours. A Metallica-themed Red Cross blood drive is also running at Fashion Show Las Vegas through March 19, 2027.

Metallica's No Repeat Setlists and Sold-Out Dates Through March

This week's shows follow the band's No Repeat Weekend format. No song repeats across the Thursday and Saturday shows.

Fans attending both nights will hear two different setlists.

Every remaining Sphere date on the tour page is marked sold out.

The 24-show residency opened on October 1 and runs through March 13, 2027. Two more weekends follow this month: October 22 and 24, then October 29 and 31. Drummer Lars Ulrich discussed the production with U2 guitarist The Edge on SiriusXM. "We've been working on this for a year, year and a half," Ulrich said.

Fan Pop-Up at The Venetian and Black Box Fridays at The Palazzo

Metallica's Life Burns Faster Experience is a pop-up shop and fan attraction. It sits in The Summit Showroom at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The space is on level one, just off Restaurant Row and near the Bridge to Sphere. Its days and hours of operation have not yet been announced.

On Friday, October 16, The Stadium at The Palazzo hosts Black Box Fridays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event offers Metallica memorabilia, interactive exhibits, exclusive merchandise, and drinks.

The events come after Nevada's August figures showed a dip in Las Vegas visitation. Sphere's calendar remains busy beyond Metallica, with John Mayer booked for April 2027.

Cigar Events, a Red Cross Blood Drive, and Fan Dining Deals

Rob Dietrich, master distiller of Metallica's Blackened whiskey, hosts a cigar meet-and-greet at Eight Lounge on October 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations are required. Davidoff of Geneva Cigar Bar hosts Blackened Cigar happy hours on October 15 and 17. All cigar events are limited to guests 21 and older.

The #BleedingMe blood drive, run with the American Red Cross, opened on September 28. It runs through March 19, 2027, on the second level of Fashion Show. Delta Air Lines sponsors the Metallica-themed donation center. The center is open weekdays from noon to 6 p.m., and appointments can be booked online. Donors receive a limited-edition T-shirt while supplies last. Restaurant app inKind, the residency's official dining sponsor, is offering fans $25 off a meal of $50 or more.
