Jewel Nightclub at Aria to Close During Las Vegas F1 Weekend

Jewel Nightclub at Aria will host its final party during the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend. MGM Resorts International confirmed the venue will close permanently after business on Saturday, Nov. 21. The closure ends the club's 10-year run on the Las Vegas Strip.

MGM and operator Tao Group Hospitality mutually agreed to shut the venue. Neither company has given a reason for the decision. "There are no immediate plans for the space," MGM said in a statement. Local DJ Kid Conrad is scheduled to headline the club's final night.

Closing Weekend Lineup Set for the Las Vegas Grand Prix

Jewel's final weekend coincides with one of the city's busiest tourism stretches of the year. The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix runs from Nov. 19 to 21, with the race taking place Saturday night along the Strip.

Murphi Kennedy is booked for Friday, Nov. 20, and Kid Conrad closes things out on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Tao Group's event calendar lists the following weekend as closed. MGM Resorts is also bringing its MGM Zone race-week program to Aria. The program spans four MGM properties on the Strip from Nov. 16 to 22.

A Look Back at Jewel Nightclub's 10-Year Run on the Strip

Jewel opened on May 19, 2016, in the former Haze Nightclub space, which operated from 2009 to 2014. Rockwell Group designed the two-level, 24,000-square-foot venue with LED ribbon lighting and five themed VIP suites. Jamie Foxx made a special appearance on opening night, and The Chainsmokers, Lil Jon, and DJ Irie also performed.

Hakkasan Group originally operated Jewel, and Tao Group Hospitality acquired Hakkasan in 2021. Mohari Hospitality then bought a majority stake in Tao Group in 2023.

Usher, Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Kaskade are among the stars who have appeared at Jewel over the years. The club also hosted championship parties for the Golden State Warriors and the Las Vegas Aces.

What Comes Next for Nightlife at Aria

Jewel's closure leaves Aria without a nightclub for the second time since the resort opened in 2009.

The resort will still offer several nightlife options. Alibi Cocktail Social is set to open on Friday, Nov. 13. The new bar will join Easy's Cocktail Lounge and Lift Bar inside the resort. For a full nightclub experience, MGM is pointing guests to Marquee at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
