Key Takeaways
- A local and a tourist each took home $577,462.
- All six cards in clubs triggered the top prize.
- Palms paid a separate $1M+ baccarat jackpot in May.
Palms Casino Resort has paid out another seven-figure baccarat progressive jackpot, five months after the last one. Two players split a $1,154,924 prize early Friday, Oct. 30, at the off-Strip Las Vegas property. Each player walked away with $577,462, according to a casino spokesperson.
One winner is a Las Vegas local, and the other is a tourist. Neither winner was named in the resort's announcement. The resort celebrated the win on its official X account. "HUGE congratulations to the TWO lucky players who split our $1,154,924 Baccarat Progressive!" the Palms posted.
In May, the resort paid out a baccarat jackpot worth more than $1 million. That earlier prize went to a single player who placed a $5 side bet.
The Winning All-Clubs Hand and How Progressive Side Bets Work
All six cards in the winning hand were clubs. A three-card Banker hand totaling 7 defeated a Player hand totaling 0. That rare suited combination triggered the top prize on the progressive meter.
Progressive side bets are optional wagers made alongside the main baccarat bet, and only players who make one qualify for the jackpot.
Once the top prize is hit, the meter resets to its base amount. From there, it grows again as players place new side bets.
How the Win Lines Up With Nevada's Baccarat Progressive Rules
Nevada regulators oversee how progressive table-game prizes are paid. The Nevada Gaming Control Board publishes rules of play for approved table games. Under one Baccarat Progressive ruleset on file with the board, the top award is a community jackpot. That jackpot is divided equally among all players with an active progressive wager. The same ruleset lists a suited three-card Banker 7 against a Player 0 as a qualifying hand.
Friday's all-clubs hand fits that description. The even split between the two winners also matches the community jackpot rule.
Palms Casino Resort's String of Big Wins in 2026
Friday's split is the latest in a string of major wins at the Palms this year. On May 27, Las Vegas local Jian W. hit a baccarat progressive jackpot worth more than $1 million. She won the prize on a $5 main wager and a $5 progressive side bet. Jian W. is an Emerald-level member of the Club Serrano rewards program.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, a Las Vegas player won a $609,346 jackpot on Whitney Houston Slots. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians owns and operates the Palms. Club Serrano membership is also valid at Yaamava' Resort & Casino in Southern California.
