Sphere Las Vegas keeps expanding its lineup of high-profile residencies. Rush is reportedly in talks to join the venue's roster, following in the footsteps of U2 and No Doubt. Pink is also closing in on a deal that would make her the first female pop act to headline the venue. Metallica, meanwhile, has already locked in a sold-out 24-show residency for the fall. A source told The Sun's Bizarre column that Sphere bosses want a rotating lineup of acts over the next five years. Together, these moves show just how much demand the venue has generated since 2023.

Rush Nears Sphere Deal After Rejecting Vegas Before

Rush, made up of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, is reportedly being lined up for a Sphere residency. "The Sphere has become the premium entertainment spot in Vegas," the source said. Every act that has performed there has sold out every show, the source added. "The plan now is to map out a moving roster of acts who can come in and out for the next five years." Rush previously rejected a Vegas residency at T-Mobile Arena in late 2015 and early 2016. The band has reportedly been in talks with Sphere executives for a while. A deal could be signed within the coming weeks. "Their hits, history, and live performances make them an attractive proposition," the source said.

Pink Nears Deal to Become Sphere's First Female Headliner

Pink is expected to become the first female pop act to headline Sphere. A source told The Sun she has landed a lucrative residency deal at the venue. "Pink's shows are so full-on that they've long been compared to a Las Vegas performance," the source said. Promoters reportedly pursued her for years before finalizing the arrangement. " Sphere was determined to land Pink and pulled out all the stops, both in terms of money and what they can offer for a live show." An official announcement is expected within the coming months. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly once dates are revealed.

Metallica's 24-Show Residency Joins Sphere's Big Lineup

Metallica has already confirmed its own Sphere residency, called Life Burns Faster. The residency begins October 1 and has grown from an initial eight shows to 24. Metallica cited overwhelming demand for the expansion, which stretches into March 2027. It follows the band's "No Repeat Weekend" format from its M72 World Tour. Fans who attend both Thursday and Saturday will not hear the same song twice.

Drummer Lars Ulrich said seeing U2 open Sphere in 2023 convinced him Metallica needed to play there.

Sphere has also hosted Phish, Kenny Chesney, the Eagles, Backstreet Boys, and No Doubt. The Eagles currently hold the venue's longest residency, with 64 shows, surpassing U2's original 40.
