The rules of online Roulette are simple to understand and so it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro. You’ll get the best experience by selection from our range of games, with everything from European Roulette to American Roulette to Penny Roulette, all available to play.
The standard game consists of the Roulette wheel with its red and black numbers and the corresponding betting table where you place your wagers. Each format of the game comes with slightly different rules, but there is an overall betting flow to understand and so we’ll explain this next in the form of six easy-to-read bullet points:
- Place your Roulette bet (we’ll explain your options below).
- Click the ‘Spin’ button to confirm your bets and start the betting round.
- Watch the Roulette ball drop and spin around the wheel.
- Wait until the ball comes to a stop inside one of the wheel pockets.
- You win a prize if you corrected wagered on the pocket that the ball landed in.
- Receive any prizes and restart the betting round.
As you can see, the game flow is relatively simple and it won’t take you long to memorise what you need to do. The various betting options is where you will need to dedicate more of your time and, to help you out, we’ll explain those basic betting options next.
The betting table is designed with two main betting areas: inside and outside. The inside bets consist of the red and black numbers from 1-36 and the zero (and double-zero if you are playing American Roulette). You have several different betting options here that include single number, split, street, corner, five, and then lastly the line bet.
The outside betting options give you a broader range of options with groups of numbers and colours available to bet on. You’ve got column betting, dozen betting, colour betting, and then choosing either even or odd and low or high numbers.
We have many different Roulette variations available here at Casino.com NZ but the biggest difference that you will notice is the single zero and double zero. European Roulette offers the single zero and comes with a lower house edge than American Roulette, which has two zeroes. Keep this mind when playing to ensure that you give yourself the best chance of winning!
If you ever get stuck, then you’ll find a useful “help” menu within each of the different Roulette games with detailed rules, betting options, payouts, and much more. You can also find more information if you scroll down to our dedicated Help section further down this page.
