Backstreet Boys to Return to Sphere for New Year's 2027

Sphere Las Vegas will host the Backstreet Boys for New Year's Eve weekend for the second consecutive year. The group confirmed three new dates for their "Into the Millennium" residency on Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2. Those added shows extend a residency that began in July 2025.

The quintet became the first pop act to headline the venue.

Presales open Aug. 18, with general tickets going on sale Aug. 21. The band closed out 2025 with a New Year's Eve performance at Sphere, marking their second straight year ringing in January there.

New Backstreet Boys Dates and Ticket Info Announced

Sphere Entertainment announced the additional Backstreet Boys performances this week, extending "Into the Millennium" into 2027. The three new shows fall on Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2, giving fans another chance to catch the residency during the holiday stretch. Fans can register for artist presale access through Aug. 17, while general ticket sales open to the public Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. PT via Backstreet Boys' official website. A Backstreet Boys Fan Club presale begins Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by an artist presale on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster. The new dates come as the band's current August run continues, with shows scheduled through Aug. 29 before a European leg begins.

Backstreet Boys Nearing 60 Sphere Shows, Eagles in Sight

Since the residency launched in July 2025, the Backstreet Boys have performed for more than 750,000 fans. That total spans 47 sold-out shows, according to Sphere Entertainment, including the New Year's Eve concert on Dec. 31, 2025, the band's first year-end show at the venue. With the newly added December and January dates, the group's cumulative Sphere performance count will climb toward 60 shows. That figure puts the Backstreet Boys within reach of the Eagles. The classic rock band's own Sphere residency has expanded to 72 shows after additional dates were added earlier this year. "Into the Millennium" centers on the band's 1999 album Millennium alongside a rotating selection of greatest hits performed each night.

Sphere Visuals, VIP Perks and Upcoming Tour Dates

The "Into the Millennium" residency has drawn attention for its immersive visuals and use of Sphere's technology throughout each performance. Floor-seat ticket holders this winter will also have access to the Delta SKY360 Club. The VIP hospitality space opened on the venue's event level in February, marking Sphere's first branded airline partnership.

Backstreet Boys are also set to headline the F1 Afterparty at Sphere on Nov. 21. That show follows the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix as the race weekend's official post-race concert. Before the New Year's shows, the band will wrap its current Las Vegas dates on Aug. 29 and depart for a residency in Dusseldorf, Germany, running from Sept. 25 through Oct. 7.
