Key Takeaways

  • Andrzej Hyla named iGaming Leader of the Year at the 2026 EiGE Awards in Warsaw.
  • The award follows Wazdan's Best Mobile Gaming Provider victory in 2025.
  • Wazdan now supplies more than 400 games across over 40 regulated markets, including the UK.

Wazdan Chief Commercial Officer Andrzej Hyla has been named iGaming Leader of the Year at the 2026 European iGaming Excellence (EiGE) Awards. This was held in  Warsaw on 27 October.

The award recognises Hyla's contribution to the supplier's commercial growth. In particular, it recognises its expansion into regulated gambling markets and the development of partnerships with operators.

It is the second consecutive year that Wazdan has received recognition at the awards. In 2025, the company won Best Mobile Gaming Provider.

The annual EiGE Awards were organised by HIPTHER alongside the Warsaw Summit. They recognise achievements across the European gambling industry. This year's ceremony featured 21 categories over business performance, innovation and individual leadership.

Commercial Growth Behind Award Recognition

Hyla has played a central role in extending Wazdan's international reach. He has overseen commercial relationships and helped the company establish a presence in new jurisdictions.

The Malta-based studio currently distributes more than 400 games across over 40 regulated markets. These include the UK, where it holds a licence from the Gambling Commission.

Its expansion has included partnerships with content aggregation platforms such as Relax Gaming and Games Valley. This means its games reach to reach a wider network of operators.

Hyla was also shortlisted for two other industry leadership awards earlier this year. These include the GamingTECH CEE Awards and Baltic & Nordics Gaming Awards.

"Receiving the iGaming Leader of the Year award is an important milestone in my journey with Wazdan." – Andrzej Hyla

He also credited the company's wider team for its progress, emphasising that its commercial achievements have been a collective effort.

Second Consecutive EiGE Victory

Wazdan's latest success follows its 2025 EiGE award for Best Mobile Gaming Provider, reflecting recognition across both product development and commercial leadership.

Founded in 2010, the company produces more than 40 new slot titles annually and has developed several proprietary game features, including Hold the Jackpot, Cash Infinity and Volatility Levels.

The supplier operates under licences from both the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

For the UK market, where licensed operators compete to offer varied slot portfolios, partnerships with established international suppliers remain an important part of content distribution.

Wazdan's growing operator network and continued investment in game development place it among the suppliers seeking to strengthen their position across Europe's regulated gambling markets.

The EiGE recognition comes as the company continues to expand its commercial partnerships and distribution arrangements, with Hyla's leadership forming part of that strategy.
