The Sphere ranks as the highest-grossing arena in the world. It generated $781.4 million in revenue during 2025, with 1.7 million tickets sold. Union leaders cited that financial performance as leverage heading into contract talks. Tim Vera, president of Local 986, said the venue has been highly profitable since opening. He added that new members intend to fight for strong terms in their first contract. Vera framed the negotiations as a chance to secure fair compensation for warehouse staff. The union expects bargaining sessions to begin in the coming months. Sphere Entertainment has not yet issued a public response to the vote.
