Camp Palms: The Las Vegas Summer Camp with No Kids Allowed

Palms Casino Resort is giving Las Vegas visitors a grown-up version of childhood nostalgia this summer. The off-Strip property is launching Camp Palms: No Kids Allowed, an adults-only summer camp pop-up. The experience runs from July 1 through July 31. It will take over a dedicated area of the casino floor near Scotch 80 Prime. Guests must be 21 or older to enter. Inspired by classic 1980s summer camp comedies, Camp Palms promises comedy, cocktails, and campfire chaos. The pop-up follows the success of Palms' seasonal activation, Santa's Saloon.

Hours, Entry, and What to Expect

Camp Palms will be open Wednesday through Sunday nights. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is no cover charge. Seating is first-come, first-served. Once inside, guests step into a wilderness playground. Expect towering pines, lakeside views, and glowing campfires. Woodland creatures and camp folklore round out the atmosphere.

The pop-up bills itself as the least supervised place on Earth.

Crystal Robinson-Wesley, Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment for Palms Casino Resort, explained the idea behind it. "Following the success of Santa's Saloon, we wanted to create another immersive seasonal experience that surprises guests and gives them something they can't find anywhere else in Las Vegas," she said. She added that Camp Palms is "nostalgic, playful, a little mischievous, and completely unexpected."

Meet the Camp Palms Characters

A cast of original characters brings Camp Palms to life. Camp Director Larry leads the action. Camp Counselors Sandy and Brad keep things moving. Nurse Candy is described as overly flirtatious. Ranger Rick keeps a watchful eye over the grounds. Costumed wildlife characters also roam the grounds. Guests may spot Tokey the Bear and Dumpster Dave the Raccoon. Other creatures include Foxie Roxie and the Lost Mess Lake Monster. There is even a chance of a Bigfoot sighting.

Characters interact with guests throughout the night. They encourage guests to join games, sing-alongs, and talent contests. Spontaneous competitions and campfire stories keep the energy going. The setup creates memorable photo moments for visitors.

Menu, Cocktails, and Music

The menu leans into camp comfort food. Highlights include campfire surf and turf with Wagyu chili. Wakey Wakey Bakey Bakey bacon and eggs is another option. Camp dawgs and boxed meals round out the savory choices. S'mores and after-school snacks inspire the desserts.

Behind the bar, Camp Palms offers themed cocktails. Options include Bigfoot's Watermelon Smash and Camp Counselor's Therapy. Red, White, and Boom comes topped with a Bomb Pop. Backwoods Bottle Service features shots and Jell-O shots. The soundtrack pulls from classic '70s and '80s hits. The music is meant to fuel sing-alongs and dancing all night long.
