Tech Race Summit Draws 1,500 iGaming and Technology Professionals

The first Tech Race Summit brought approximately 1,500 iGaming and technology professionals to Warsaw for discussions covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and high-load digital infrastructure.

Organised by SOFTSWISS, the sold-out event took place on 10 September and included more than 40 speakers across three stages. Representatives from over 25 iGaming companies attended alongside specialists from businesses including AWS, Oracle, Cloudflare, Google, Gcore, Fastly and ScyllaDB.

Technology Leaders Share Lessons with iGaming Companies

The programme was designed to connect challenges experienced by gambling technology companies with lessons from the wider technology sector.

Javier Verdura, Global Director of Product Design at Tesla, discussed building teams with greater ownership and accountability. Shazam co-founder Dhiraj Mukherjee examined how businesses and their leaders respond to technological changes that initially appear impossible.

Sessions also addressed infrastructure, observability, product development and real-time systems. These areas have become increasingly important to online gambling businesses, which must process large volumes of transactions while maintaining platform availability and protecting customer information.

The event’s cross-industry format allowed operators and suppliers to compare their experiences with those of global technology companies facing similar questions around scale, resilience and security.

AI Moves from Experimentation to Production

Several presentations focused on practical applications of AI rather than speculative future uses.

Igor Borzunov, CTO at Maincard, demonstrated an autonomous AI operations agent developed to reduce incident reaction times to 30 seconds. The case study explored how automation could help technical teams identify and respond to system problems more rapidly. BGaming CTO Alexander Krivetsky presented an AI-based fraud detection system taken from its initial concept to production within three months. The development process included preparing data, training the model and integrating it into the company’s systems.

SOFTSWISS also demonstrated its internal approach to AI-assisted software development. Software architect Illia Slepau presented an Orchestrator created to coordinate AI agents while leaving code validation and final approval with human teams. The approach is intended to reduce the time developers spend coordinating AI-generated work without removing human oversight of software quality.

Security and Scale Remain Central Concerns

The summit reflected the growing overlap between iGaming and the wider technology industry. Gambling platforms must support continuous availability, real-time payments and large numbers of simultaneous users while responding to fraud and cyber threats.

These demands make developments in cloud infrastructure, automated operations and cybersecurity directly relevant to both operators and technology suppliers. SOFTSWISS CTO Sergey Kastsukevich said the company wanted the event to create lasting connections between attendees and thanked the summit’s speakers, partners and visitors.

Following the sold-out inaugural event, the organiser confirmed that Tech Race Summit will return to Warsaw in 2027.
