Key Takeaways
- Tech Race Summit will take place in Warsaw on 10 September 2026.
- Speakers will represent AWS, Google, Oracle, Cloudflare, Fastly and others.
- Discussions from the summit will continue through a technology focus at ICE 2027.
Softswiss has named iGB and ICE as media partners for Tech Race Summit 2026, a new event built around the engineering challenges behind modern iGaming platforms. Taking place in Warsaw on 10 September, the summit will bring together specialists from major cloud, infrastructure and technology businesses. Organisers say the aim is to move beyond product-led presentations and create a forum for practical discussion of high-load systems, cybersecurity, cloud services, observability and the growing use of artificial intelligence.
Summit targets iGaming’s engineering gap
Modern gambling platforms must process huge volumes of activity while maintaining speed, security and availability. A major sporting event or product launch can create sharp traffic spikes, while systems must also support payments, account checks and live content in real time.
The summit is intended to examine those pressures at engineering level. Its programme will cover distributed systems, cloud architecture, observability and cyber risk, with discussions based on decisions made in live operating environments rather than sales presentations.
For UK-facing brands, those themes are particularly relevant. Britain’s mature online gambling market places heavy demands on operator and supplier infrastructure, while outages or security failures can quickly affect customer trust, compliance operations and commercial performance.
Reliable infrastructure is no longer a background concern for operators; it now shapes compliance, customer experience and commercial performance.
Big tech names join the programme
The organisers expect more than 30 international speakers and 1,000 participants across three parallel stages. Representatives from AWS, Google, Oracle, Cloudflare, Fastly, Gcore and ScyllaDB are among those due to participate.
Sessions will examine AI, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, platform performance and business growth. Speakers will also come from fintech, entertainment and other high-load sectors, giving iGaming teams an opportunity to learn from companies managing similar questions of scale, resilience and risk.
Sergey Kastukevich, Softswiss chief technology officer, said the mix should allow participants to exchange practical experience and better understand where cloud infrastructure, AI and high-load systems are heading.
AI adoption raises new questions
AI is already moving into several areas of iGaming, from personalisation and customer support to fraud detection, product development and content. Some suppliers are also using generative AI within their coding workflows as they look to deliver platform changes more quickly.
The potential efficiency gains come with wider questions about data handling, model reliability, cybersecurity, human oversight and dependence on third-party providers. For UK operators, new tools must still sit alongside existing responsibilities for consumer protection, data security and reliable systems.
By placing engineers alongside commercial and product leaders, Tech Race Summit may help bring those less visible operational questions into wider industry decision-making.
ICE 2027 will continue the discussion
iGB and ICE’s involvement means the conversation is intended to continue beyond Warsaw. Margaret Dunn, portfolio director at WorldGaming, said: “Technology is becoming one of the defining forces in iGaming, yet dedicated engineering discussions have remained relatively rare.”
WorldGaming plans to bring a dedicated technology focus into ICE 2027, carrying forward themes raised at the summit. That gives the specialist Warsaw event a route to a much larger international audience. ICE Barcelona 2026 set new attendance records, underlining the reach of the annual industry gathering.
Early-bird tickets remain available through the official Tech Race Summit website until 31 July.
