Key Takeaways
- Tiger has launched across BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK in the UK
- The proprietary sportsbook is powered by technology acquired from Tipico US
- UK features include partial cash-out, enhanced odds boosts and flex combi bets
LeoVegas Group has launched its proprietary Tiger sportsbook in the UK, introducing the platform across three of its leading gambling brands.
The sportsbook went live on Wednesday across BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK. This gives customers access to a range of features developed specifically for the British market.
Tiger’s UK debut follows previous launches in Denmark, Brazil and Sweden. LeoVegas is continuing its phased international rollout of its in-house sports betting technology.
Tiger reaches competitive UK market
LeoVegas said Tiger includes enhanced odds boosts, partial cash-out functionality and a “flex combi” feature that gives customers greater flexibility when placing combination bets.
Bringing its sportsbook technology in-house is also expected to allow the operator to introduce new features more quickly and adapt the product to different markets.
The launch represents a major step in a development programme that began after LeoVegas acquired Tipico’s US sportsbook platform in 2024.
Adrian Vella, chief product and technology officer at LeoVegas Group, described the UK launch as one of the most important points in the company’s two-year sportsbook project.
“Every market launch has helped us refine the platform, improve the customer experience and strengthen our competitive edge. This marks one of the most significant moments in our two-year journey to build a world-class, proprietary sportsbook. Every market launch has helped us refine the platform, improve the customer experience and strengthen our competitive edge.” – Adrian Vella
Platform launches across three brands
Tiger will support the sportsbook offering for BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK. This will provide LeoVegas Group with greater control over products serving the highly competitive UK market.
James Derbyshire, sports director for the UK and Ireland at LeoVegas Group, said the launch represented another significant milestone for the business.
“Launching our proprietary sportsbook, Tiger, in the UK is another huge milestone for the group,” Derbyshire said.
“As one of the most competitive igaming markets in the world, I’m excited to see our customers enjoy the product and engage with some fantastic new sports betting features tailored specifically for the UK market.”
The launch also strengthens the technology available to BetMGM UK. This is operated independently by LeoVegas Group. The international brand sits outside the US-facing BetMGM joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain.
Tipico acquisition accelerated development
LeoVegas acquired Tipico’s US sportsbook and online casino technology in 2024, alongside its management, trading and technology teams.
Parent company MGM Resorts International said at the time that the acquisition would enable LeoVegas to operate a purpose-built sportsbook across its international markets and brands.
The deal was viewed as a way for LeoVegas to gain greater control of its technology without facing the longer development period required to construct a new platform entirely from scratch.
Denmark became the first market to receive the sportsbook in July 2025, followed by launches in Brazil and Sweden.
Although the international expansion took longer than some industry observers initially expected, LeoVegas maintained that it was following a planned, phased approach. The company said the rollout sequence allowed it to test the platform thoroughly, meet regulatory requirements and continue improving the customer experience before entering additional markets.
The arrival of Tiger in the UK now gives LeoVegas an opportunity to test that strategy in one of the world’s largest and most established regulated online betting markets.
