Key Takeaways

  • Genius Sports launched Prediction.com, allowing users to compare equivalent event contracts across multiple prediction markets
  • The platform combines live sports data with real-time prediction market pricing and changing probabilities
  • The launch follows Genius Sports' partnerships with Kalshi and Polymarket as prediction markets continue to grow

On Thursday, Genius Sports launched a new website, Predicton.com, which a press release describes as "a new consumer platform that enables users to discover prediction markets, compare equivalent event contracts across multiple platforms and follow how market probabilities change as events unfold."

This follows Genius Sports' deals with Polymarket and Kalshi

The new platform has been launched through Legend, and it'll also include a tool for comparing multi-leg combos across multiple platforms. Genius acquired Legend in May for $1.2 billion.

Prediction.com Combines Live Sports Data With Market Pricing

Additionally, per the press release, "Prediction.com combines Genius Sports’ live game data with real-time prediction market pricing. Its in-game experience allows fans to follow play-by-play action alongside changing probabilities, prices and market signals, creating a single destination for discovering markets before an event and tracking them as the action unfolds."

Prediction market platforms have become incredibly popular, with more than $3 billion having been traded on the first Sunday of the 2026-27 NFL season. Popular online sports betting brands have also launched prediction market platforms, including DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, and Fanatics.

These platforms' surge in popularity comes despite numerous legal issues and battles, including, most recently, Missouri issuing a cease-and-desist to Kalshi.

"For prediction market platforms, Prediction.com provides a new destination through which consumers can discover markets and compare the information available across platforms. For Genius Sports, it creates a direct consumer presence at an increasingly important point in the prediction market journey: where users discover markets, compare contracts and pricing, follow live events and track outcomes," the press release said.

Genius Sports Expects Prediction Market Structure to Change

Genius Sports is taking an approach that will benefit it, regardless of how the legality of prediction market platforms ends up, according to CEO Mark Locke in a note to investors.

"After 25 years across sports, betting and technology, my conclusion is different. Prediction markets will remain a meaningful part of US sports trading, but I do not expect today's structure to survive unchanged. Some current advantages will disappear, and today's winners may not be tomorrows.

"Prediction markets did not invent the desire to wager on a sporting outcome. They offer another way to express it, and what is durable is the demand underneath," Locke's note read.
