More About This Case

The man charged is Kalongie Bradley. He’s been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for the incident outside of the Malden District Court.

He was arrested at Encore Boston on charges of disorderly conduct, which were dismissed after his arraignment.

At Encore Boston, Bradley “engaged in a physical altercation,” police said.

The man who was stabbed was a relative of the man Bradley fought at Encore Boston.

The stabbed man sustained serious injuries, but they weren’t life-threatening.

“Upon arrival, a court officer pointed troopers toward Commercial Street, where they found two Medford police officers with five men. Troopers assisted the officers in detaining them,” a police spokesperson said. “As they searched the men, police discovered and secured a knife in one of the individuals’ waistband. Police also detained three additional individuals at a restaurant near the courthouse.”

In Aug. 2020, a 30-year-old man from Natick, MA, was arrested for stabbing a 24-year-old man from Lynn, MA.

The man arrested was David E. Guante.

He, like Bradley, was arranged at Malden District Court and entered a plea of not guilty.

“The victim, a 24-year-old Lynn man, who was located in the casino’s lobby after the incident, was conscious and alert and was able to provide responding Troopers a description of his assailant,” State Police said. “The victim sustained a puncture wound believed to be minor and was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.”

Details of his sentencing aren’t readily accessible or clear.
