He described Sphere Abu Dhabi as "a once-in-a-generation opportunity" for the region.

Willmott also linked the project to a broader shift in entertainment infrastructure. He said the partnership combines cutting-edge design, advanced engineering, and immersive technology.

The goal, he added, is to redefine what entertainment means globally.

AtkinsRéalis previously served as design consultant for Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya City project. That prior experience shaped its approach to complex entertainment infrastructure.

ALEC Holdings to Handle Construction for the Venue

ALEC Holdings manages procurement and construction delivery for the venue. Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism appointed the firm in May.
