PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 Sees Dip In Viewership

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 concluded this weekend in London, and it had slightly less viewership than the 2023 edition. 

It had a peak viewership of 927,000 and an average of 287,000 per Esports Charts. 

This comes after PUBG Mobile announced a partnership with Saudi-based Qiddiya Gaming. 

Info on the Event 

The event occurred at ExCel in London. This concluded the 2024 calendar of competitive play for the title. 

Dplus, a South Korean esports organization, were victorious. 

There was a total of 28.4 million hours watched. 

Comparing the Viewership

As mentioned, the viewership dipped a bit. The peak this year was 980,000, while 2023 had 980,000. The average in 2024 was 287,000, but 2023 saw an average of 307,000. 

Despite the drop, it was the most-watched PUBG event in 2024 and sixth-most in the title’s history. 

Where Viewership Came From

PUBG Mobile is most popular in Asia. Thus, it is no surprise that Indonesian platforms recorded the most viewers. It peaked at 284,000. The most popular platforms, in order, were YouTube, TikTok, Kick, Bigo Live, and Twitch. Twitch had just 2,207 viewers. 

KRAFTON, the PUBG Mobile developer, announced plans for a 2025 competitive season during these finals, including a large prize pool.
