More About IEM in 2025
This IEM Dallas event marks the third international IEM tournament for the 2025 Counter-Strike 2 season. It’ll be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. This comes after IEM Katowice. There, Team Vitality took the win.
There will also be an IEM Melbourne event in April. A full list of invited teams has been revealed: FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Team Spirit, Team Vitality, Team Liquid, paiN Gaming, The MongolZ, FlyQuest, Eternal Fire, MIBR, BIG, and MOUZ.
To qualify for a spot at IEM Dallas, teams did so through Valve’s VRS leaderboard system and region qualifiers.
The Teams at IEM Dallas 2025
Of the 16 teams, eight qualified based on their regional VRS scores from Feb. 3. That said, Team Spirit, who were atop the VRS leaderboard, along with another top-performing squad, NAVI, won’t attend IEM Dallas.

IEM Dallas Qualifiers

Open Qualifiers gave the smaller teams an opportunity to compete in the IEM Qualifiers against higher-ranked rosters in their region.
The European Qualifier saw five of 16 teams go to IEM Dallas. Qualifiers from Norther America, South America, and Asia each had four squads.
Beyond regional ranking, Valve also ranks teams based on a global VRS leaderboard. As of Feb. 3, the top five teams are Team Spirit, G2 Esports, TheMongolZ, Vitality and FaZe.
The highest-ranked organization on the global VRS leaderboard is G2 Esports, which is in second place.
The lowest-ranked team is BC.Game who comes in at 99th.
