The Mines gambling game doesn’t have very many rules. If you click on a safe space, you can win some money and keep playing, and you can cash out at any time. If you land on a mine, the game ends and you forfeit all your winnings from the round.
Betting Range
You can change the size of your stake before each round. Before clicking the Bet button, choose a stake between $0.10 and $100. You can either bet with one of the options provided by the Mines gambling game or manually enter your own stake, as long as it falls in the accepted range.
Game Elements
Mines has a few customizable options. Unlike other similar Spribe games, like Goals, you can’t change the size of the playing board. However, you can add up to 20 bombs in the game if you want a higher risk/higher reward game.
If you don’t trust yourself to choose the correct space, you can click the Random button. It will select a space at random.
The Auto Game feature lets you play up to 500 consecutive games. However, you have to preselect all the spaces before starting, and they will be used for every game. There are two safety options in Mines Auto Play: Stop if Cash Decreases by and Stop if Single Wins Exceeds. By picking a dollar amount, you can override the number of auto games.
Win Conditions
Each round starts when you place a bet and click your first tile. If you reveal a star, your payout multiplier increases, and you can either continue revealing more tiles or cash out. A round ends in one of two ways:
- You hit a bomb and lose your bet.
- You cash out before hitting a bomb and collect your current payout.
Payout Structure
Payouts are based on how many bombs you’ve set and how many stars you’ve uncovered before cashing out. The more bombs on the grid, the higher the risk—and the steeper the payout curve. For example, with only one bomb, each star you uncover adds a small multiplier. With 15+ bombs, even the first tile can offer a 3x or 5x return.
There’s no jackpot, no free spins, and no traditional bonus rounds. What you see is what you get—but that’s what makes Mines so exciting. It’s all about tension, timing, and knowing when to walk away.
