Key Takeaways

  • Prime users can link their FanDuel account with TNF streams
  • Viewers must opt in to activate the feature
  • FanDuel is also offering Bet Protect+, AceAI, and a new rewards club

Prime Video users will have a whole new way to watch NFL games this season.

The streaming service has partnered with FanDuel to link its online sportsbooks with Prime’s stream of Thursday Night Football games this season. It will let streamers track their wagers during the game and see live odds for popular bets throughout.

Users can opt in to access the feature on Prime Video, which lets them link their FanDuel account.

While the new interface will let bettors track odds and wagers, it will not let them place bets.

Live Betting Remains Popular

Sports betting continues to grow in the US, and live betting is a big reason why. This lets bettors place wagers as an event is underway, with odds updating in real time. As a result, bettors can be active throughout a game instead of being limited to placing wagers before it begins.

Live betting is especially popular for sports fans watching their favorite teams. Wagering during the event lets them capitalize on turnovers, injuries, and other momentum shifts. The FanDuel interface lets them spot those opportunities more easily and place wagers before sportsbooks can properly adjust their odds.

FanDuel Focused on NFL

FanDuel’s new feature is a small part of a larger rollout for the 2026 NFL season.

The operator is also unveiling a new FanDuel Rewards Club, allowing players to earn more bonuses and prizes. It will also extend the availability of Bet Protect+, which lets players insure bets against injuries.

FanDuel has also upgraded its AceAI, which can help bettors research wagers, find markets, and build betting slips.

Karol Corcoran, FanDuel’s Managing Director of Sports, shared the operator’s excitement over its upgraded offerings in a press release

Our customers look forward to football season, and this year we're giving them more control of their experience to make it the most rewarding season ever. Rewards Club offers those who continue to choose FanDuel Sportsbook more promotions and flexibility in how they use them, and we're also thrilled to bring new research tools and an enhanced version of our popular Bet Protect+ to the NFL.

Line Between Betting and Sports Is Blurred

Problem gambling continues to grow in the US, leading more bettors to seek treatment. Unfortunately, recovery is becoming more difficult as the line between sports and betting blurs.

Most major sports leagues now have official sports betting partners, whose logos and ads appear in stadiums and on TV broadcasts. This presents a challenge for bettors struggling with addiction, who are constantly being reminded of the thrill of gambling while watching games.

With FanDuel’s new interface, struggling bettors now have the option to keep that temptation running for an entire event. This promotes loss chasing and other habits that can lead to significant losses in a short amount of time. While they will need to opt in to launch the feature, that won’t be a problem for bettors in the throes of addiction.
