Fancy Dance Casino gets a new look
The renovation of the Fancy Dance Casino in Perry, part of Noble County, is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
Expanding the existing gaming floor will give customers more space to move around and enjoy. Additionally, the casino will be equipped to house more gaming stations, with an emphasis placed on electronic and slot machines.
“Fancy Dance Casino is proud to make this significant investment in our property that will continue to benefit the Ponca people,” said Rodney Fourkiller, CEO of Ponca Enterprise Gaming.
Casino patrons will also have full access to Buffalo Post 38, the new full-service sports bar that will be added to the venue. The name pays homage to the first fully Native American Legion post in the United States, which was founded in White Eagle on the Ponca Reservation — about 30 miles away from the casino — in 1927.
The location will offer a traditional American menu that includes smash burgers, wings, and the FDC Kickin’ Chicken Sandwich — appropriately named after the casino. Customers will also find a list of signature cocktails and both bottled and draft beer.
Building out the vision
According to casino officials, enlarging and developing the property was meant to keep up with a growing customer base, while ensuring that visitors were given access to new-and-improved gaming and feasting options. This builds on the core mission of the casino, which opened in
Sept. 2020.
“This expansion allows us to provide our guests with more gaming choices, a new dining experience, and an exciting place to gather,” said Fourkiller. “Buffalo Post 38 will bring something new to Fancy Dance Casino while continuing our tradition of hospitality and entertainment.”
Architecture and design firm Bergman Walls & Associates created the vision for the project. Connect Advisors, FSA Advisory Group, Bank of Oklahoma, and Nabholz are involved as partners.
The Ponca Nation is divided into two federally recognized tribes: the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and the Ponca Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. They own one casino apiece.
Developing Fancy Dance Casino is firmly part of the Ponca Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma’s vision of developing its gaming options and rewarding its loyal customers.
“This endeavor shows the forward-thinking mindset of the Ponca Enterprise Gaming Board, Ponca Business Committee, and the leadership of Fancy Dance Casino,” said Travis Thomas, General Manager. “It also conveys a belief in our team and the product we provide on a consistent basis.
