Key Takeaways

  • DraftKings earned the top spot in Eilers & Krejcik Gaming's latest rankings
  • Fanatics maintained its third-place position thanks to strong customer rewards
  • Hard Rock Bet returned to the top five while bet365 slipped to sixth

According to research firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, DraftKings Sportsbook has been rated as the best US sports betting app by testers.

Just behind DraftKings is FanDuel, according to the 1H26 Product Analysis. According to Legal Sports Report, the rankings from Eilers & Krejcik Gaming have "historically correlated to future market share."

Behind DraftKings and FanDuel was Fanatics, which finished third for the fourth report in a row. According to Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, the app is helped by the FanCash rewards system.

"The FanCash rewards system in particular resonates strongly with customers, as does a very fast app and in-play experience," the report read.

Caesars and Hard Rock Bet Show Strength

Coming in just behind Fanatics was Caesars, and right now, Caesars is undergoing an ownership change, with Tilman Fertitta purchasing it. Thus, during this time, there may not be many changes to it, but after it's acquired, Caesars could begin pushing toward Fanatics' No. 3 spot.

Eilers & Krejcik Gaming says that Caesars, which ranked fourth, "could capture more share—but its restrained spending looks unlikely to change any time soon as the Tilman Fertitta acquisition plays out."

The report also shows that Hard Rock Bet climbed back into the top five and "theScore delivered an impressive debut under its refreshed branding."

The refreshed branding comes after it relaunched in the US following Penn and Disney's end of their ESPN Bet deal

bet365 Faces Criticism Despite Heavy Spending

Also, bet365 slipped to sixth, which, the newsletter said, was a "surprise." It said that "several testers raised concerns around the product’s overall look and feel—an area the operator will need to rectify fast as it continues spending aggressively in key states like Michigan."

bet365 spent over $27 million in promotions in its first two weeks in the state which was mid-April. The brand will also go live in Alberta when online sports betting and casino play go live on Jul,y 13.
