Key Takeaways

  • bet365 claimed to have paid about $67 million to its casino progressive jackpot winners
  • Sports bettors will pay about $.68 per bet to enter the progressive jackpot
  • The product will soon be in America, as bet365 has plans to launch its new product in Michigan

Online gambling platform bet365 is ramping up its sports betting offerings with a feature that is traditionally reserved for casino customers.

The new Jackpot365 feature offers users the opportunity to enter a progressive jackpot prize pool whenever they place wagers in the bet365 sportsbook. Individuals who opt in to the drawing will be given an equal chance of winning a random draw.

The prize payout is totally dependent upon the number of customers who enter the jackpot, and how much money is at stake.

Bet365 adds jackpots to sports betting

bet365 claimed that the average jackpot winner claims about 85 percent, or the portion of each stake that is automatically entered into the jackpot and the prize reserve.

The gaming platform has offered the product to its casino customers since 2025 and paid nearly $67 million to approximately 112,000 winners in that time. That comes out to about $515 per win.

Sports bettors will still find the product distinctly different. Casino customers pay roughly $.14 per hand, spin, on top of their base wager, to enter the progressive jackpot. Sports bettors will pay $.68 in addition to their bet.

To offset that difference, sports bettors have a proportionate chance of winning the jackpot.

Jackpots will come in four tiers: platinum, gold, silver, and bronze. Wins will be announced daily, adding an "additional layer of excitement: to traditional sports betting.

“[Jackpot 365 is a] wonderful addition,” a spokesperson for the company said. “Designed and built in-house at bet365, this innovative product offering adds an extra layer of excitement and value to every visit to bet365.”

While progressive jackpots are common on global iGaming platforms, they are not found at prominent regulated sportsbooks.

Standing out from the competition

Jackpot365 started by launching in Canada (Ontario), the UK, the Netherlands, and Sweden. bet365 also has imminent plans to launch in Brazil and Michigan

As the worldwide gambling industry continues to evolve, most recently with the cross-pollination of related prediction markets, a senior analyst at gaming research firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, Bradley Allen, said that Jackpot365 “might be a genius feature.”

bet365 — which is live in 17 states — recently put an emphasis on growing nationwide. Its three-four percent national market share is dwarfed by the market leaders FanDuel and DraftKings, but still outperforms many of its competitors.

The gaming platform has also accumulated an impressive portfolio of partnerships, particularly with professional sports teams.

The company’s focus on expansion led it to receive approval for the upcoming launch of iGaming in Alberta, Canada, which is scheduled for July 13. Product offerings such as Jackpot365 will help it stand among its competitors.

Traditional bet365 online casino customers can still access table games, slot machines, poker, and other product offerings. Sports bettors also do not need to participate in the progressive jackpot to place their wagers.
