Our Writers: Jack Garry
Meet Jack Garry
Jack Garry is a Los Angeles-based online casino writer and editor who came to the industry with more personal context than most. Growing up in Las Vegas gave him an early familiarity with casino culture that most writers only ever read about, and years of hands-on experience in regulated gambling markets eventually pulled him toward covering them professionally.
He writes for players who want to genuinely understand what they're doing: how games work, which platforms are worth their time, and what the fine print actually means. When he's not reviewing casinos or covering the latest regulatory developments, he's writing songs and playing guitar somewhere in LA. A.

“I've been a musician my whole life, and I approach casino games the same way I approach music; it's all about understanding the patterns beneath the surface and knowing when to trust what you're hearing.”
Jack’s Writing Philosophy
Jack's approach to online casino content is straightforward: research it properly, say what you really think, and never oversell a platform or game just because it makes for a cleaner review.
He writes for players who want to genuinely understand what they're signing up for, not just be pointed toward a bonus offer, and holds himself to the same standard whether he's evaluating a game library, breaking down wagering requirements, or covering regional gambling legislation. Accuracy first, clarity always.

"My biggest DFS win came during a Dodgers World Series game. I had built my lineup around a bench player nobody else was rostering, and when he went off, the whole slate fell my way. Six figures in a single night. That's the thing about DFS; the edge is almost never where everyone else is looking.”

Q&A with Jack Garry
What inspired you to start writing about online casino and gambling content?
Daily fantasy sports pulled me in first, but living in Las Vegas multiple times meant casino culture was always part of my world. Writing about it professionally felt like a natural extension of something I'd been living for years.
What's your favorite way to experience a casino, online or in person?
Both have their place. Online is where I do most of my research and analysis, but there's nothing quite like a real casino floor. Living in Vegas, you develop an appreciation for both.
What's your guilty pleasure when it comes to casino games?
Video keno at a bar in Vegas, honestly. It's not sharp, the house edge is brutal, and I know exactly what I'm doing. But there's something genuinely fun about sitting there with a drink watching numbers come up. Not every casino experience needs to be optimal.
What's a fun fact people might not know about you?
I lived in 10 states and moved more than 30 times before I turned 18, including two stints in Mexico. Adapting to new situations has never been a problem.
When you're not writing, what are you usually doing?
Getting out in the neighborhood, catching up with friends, and making music. I live in Highland Park, and there's always something going on.
