  • He, along with an accomplice, robbed a casino cage manager at Circus Circus in Reno
  • Buckley III was involved in the robbery 11 days after being released from jail

A man who robbed an employee at Circus Circus Reno Hotel & Casino in Nevada has been sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison.

According to KTVN, the person sentenced, Clyde Buckley III, can apply for parole after seven years. The parole board will consider behavior in prison.

In October 2024, he was found guilty of robbery with a firearm for an incident on Jan. 24, 2024.

This comes after a man who allegedly murdered someone at Palms in Las Vegas was ruled competent to stand trial

The Incident

The victim in the incident was dragged down two flights of stairs in the parking garage during the holdup. Two masked suspects did this. One of them was Buckley.

The duo approached the female victim as she was going to her car. They pulled out a gun, forced her into the stairway, dragged her down the stairwell, and stole her purse, cell phone, and lunch bag.

Then, they fled in a vehicle driven by a third person.

The Victim

While the victim was never identified, it has been confirmed that she was a casino cage manager. There’s no word regarding whether she was followed while inside or followed as she walked into the garage.

This was Buckley’s third weapons-related charge.

Buckley Did This 11 Days After Jail Release

Buckley, 26, was released from jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm and conducted this robbery 11 days late.

Reno police used surveillance footage to identify him. We have no information on whether the other two suspects were charged.

The victim wasn’t seriously injured.
