Key Takeaways
- Alberta added two new operators and six suppliers ahead of July 13
- More than 50 gaming brands are now registered with the AGLC
- Alberta will become Canada's second regulated online gaming province
On July 13, 2026, online sports betting and online casino play will go live in Alberta, Canada, and with less than a week to go, there are more registrants.
Now, there are more than 50, and while all of them want to launch exactly on July 13, it is believed many will. An updated list of gaming registrations went out on July 3 by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, showing the new brands. In all, there were six content suppliers and two operators.
When July 13 rolls around, Alberta will be the second province in the country to offer legal online sports betting since Ontario in 2022.
The two new operators added to the list in the update were Ellipse Entertainment and Tonybet.
Right now, both of these brands are live in Ontario. Tonybet operates under that name and offers online sports betting and casino play. As for Ellipse Entertainment, it operates High Flyer Casino.
Additionally, the six new suppliers are Amusnet Gaming, Catalist Sports, Fennica Gaming, OpenBet, RAW Operations, and Super Group. Amusnet, Fennica, and RAW provide casino content, while the others offer data or sports betting content.
Registration List Continues to Grow
Score Digital Sports Ventures, from Penn Entertainment, was removed from the list. However, it was only for technical purposes, as the approval is now under the Score Media and Gaming operator registration.
Ahead of the big launch, brands like BetMGM are offering pre-registration so players don't have to worry about it come launch day.
