The app serves over one million monthly users on OLG.ca across Ontario and is designed for fast, seamless cross-device performance. The transition was well managed, with no disruption reported for existing players.

The new app uses a lightweight, data-efficient structure, maintaining high performance across devices, even during peak traffic periods. Its flexible architecture supports a single build across all device types, meaning updates and improvements can be deployed quickly and consistently.

The scalable framework reduces costs and simplifies future development for OLG. Operators can also customize the mobile experience through a self-managed system, giving OLG greater control over its digital product. The app integrates directly with Bede’s platform capabilities, including its in-house product suite and third-party services. This accessibility eliminates the need for additional integration steps and accelerates time-to-market.

OLG’s app includes geolocation technology powered by mkodo’s GeoLocs product, supporting accurate location management across Ontario.

As online gambling in Canada is regulated at the provincial level by bodies such as the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), this feature helps OLG meet its compliance obligations and supports the corporation’s responsible gaming commitments.

The technology ensures that only eligible users within Ontario can access the platform.
