Hard Rock invests in Atlantic City
Hard Rock has shown a consistent commitment to its Atlantic City location. It only recently completed a separate $50 million capital improvement plan in 2023, which included penthouse suite renovations, opening a new high-limit slot room, and a private helicopter area, among other amenities.
According to a press release confirming the investment plan, Hard Rock’s Atlantic City property will update more than 700 standard guest rooms, over 60 suites, and eight penthouses in the North Tower. Walkways and corridors will also receive a makeover.
New dining options will also be brought to guests. Those will include Sitar, an artful East-Indian restaurant with modern Indian cuisine that includes a view of the Boardwalk. It will also add Federal Donuts and Chicken, which has 11 locations scattered around Philadelphia, in the spring.
Guests will notice the upgrades as soon as they enter the property with new carpet that is being added to the casino floor and the second floor corridor. The South Tower is also getting a makeover to its exterior.
Additionally, anyone who experiences the stress of driving electric vehicles can take a breather. Hard Rock Atlantic City added 16 electric vehicle chargers at Rocktane Gas & Wash.
Fighting against online casinos?
Hard Rock is well-known throughout the gambling, entertainment, and hospitality industries. According to the casino’s president, the new round of funding reinforces the brand’s identity to its customers.
“Our $50 million capital improvement plan for 2026 reflects Hard Rock Atlantic City's unwavering commitment to reinvesting in our resort, our team members, and the Atlantic City community,” said George Goldhoff, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. “From redesigned guest suites and new dining concepts to world-class entertainment, and continued community engagement, these investments ensure we continue delivering an exceptional guest experience while honoring one of our four core mottos to ‘Love All, Serve All’.”
The announcement also noted that Hard Rock Atlantic City has plans to revitalize the entire Atlantic City region.
While the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported that the nine Atlantic City retail casinos generated more than $200 million in every month in 2025, it also revealed that New Jersey online casinos consistently outproduced their brick-and-mortar counterparts.
Hard Rock’s refurbishments are part of trying to attract visitors and locals to come back into physical properties instead of getting their fix online.
