The Format
To kick things off, there will be open qualifiers for North America and EMEA. These will be held from June 20 to 22. Each team will shoot for their 10 best scores, which will add to a final total.
At the end of the In-Game Open, the top 100 trios from each region will move to the Group Play Gauntlet.
Group Play will then run from July 7 to 16. These teams are split into four groups. They’ll each face off in five-drop matchups against each group.
Then, the top 25 teams advance to the Qualifier Finals on July 17 and the bottom 10 teams will be eliminated.
From there, the remaining squads head to the Last Chance Qualifier in August for one “last chance” to go to the final stage.
For the regions outside of North America and EMEA, such as APAC, LATAM North, and LATAM South, will compete in online Private Match Competitions. There will be regional slots include one for APAC, four for LATAM North, and three for LATAM South.
What’s At Stake
The Global final will include the top 15 squads across the regions, five squads from the Last Chance Qualifier, and one wildcard winner. These teams will compete for the final stage. The details have yet to be announced.
Last year, the top 34 teams met and clashed for a $950k prize pool. Andrew ‘Biffle‘ Diaz, Kasimili ‘Soka‘ Tongamoa, and Shifty, representing Team Falcons, won the competition.
