Nisqy, 26, was one of the biggest roster moves for the LEC Spring Split. That said, Team Vitality simply didn’t perform well. They failed to reach the Spring Playoffs by finishing seventh during the regular season.
The team was unable to compete for qualification for the Mid-Season Invitational, which is one of the biggest League of Legends events internationally.
Team Vitality took to X to release a statement, mentioning the decision was mutual and that Nisqy wanted to move back to mid lane.
“Today we say goodbye to @Nisqy,” the statement began.
“We would like to thank Nisqy for the insight he's brought to the team and the hard work he put into trying to make this project work. As our split ended, we recognized that we did not produce the results we wanted, and with Nisqy expressing an interest in going back to midlane, we ultimately agreed to mutually part ways to allow both parties room to grow and move forward.”
Nisqy began in esports in 2014 with League. He’s played with organizations like Fnatic, MAD Lions, and SK Gaming. He won two League of Legends Splits.
Team Vitality Will Rebuild
With Nisqy gone, the team now needs someone to fill the support role ahead of the LEC Summer Split. It’s not confirmed, but it’s looking like Kadir ‘Fleshy’ Kemiksiz might be the answer, coming in from Vitality.Bee, the academy team.
Vitality.Bee was recently eliminated from the LFL Spring Playoffs.
Fan Reaction
Fans on X voiced their reactions to the news.
“Nisqy as a support won’t be missed (even if thanks for the few decent games), but his professionalism will be missed by the team, on the other hand…” one person wrote.
“So the staff just gave this roster w/ 2 rookies and a role swap supp a few weeks to perform. With a lot to catch up because of this useless 1st split. And despite a true potential, we’re starting from nothing again for a 3rd split and hope to make play off in some way ? Glhf,” someone else said.
