paIN Gaming Statement
paIN Gaming took to X to reveal the acquisitions, mentioning things like a lack of consistency in 2025. They've made a series of moves, including signing and benching David ‘dav1deuS’ Tapia and Franco ‘dgt’ Garcia following the StarLadder Budapest Major, where they finished 14th.
“2025 was an important year in our evolution in Counter-Strike. We experienced moments of growth and high-level competitiveness, but also necessary learnings. We weren't as consistent as we sought to be throughout the entire season, and recognizing that is part of our commitment to evolution.
“in 2026, we continue with our goal of building paiN as a reference for Brazilian Counter-Strike. We will work with the passion, seriousness, and responsibility of always, maintaining the courage to take risks, the ambition, and the daily dedication that a project of this size demands.
“it is in this context that @vsmzin and @piriajrcs come to wear our mantle. v$m arrives with experience, competitive maturity, and a potential that has always been present. piriajr represents the new generation, after a standout 2025 in the national scene, now has the opportunity to prove himself internationally,” the organization wrote.
paIN Gaming finished inside the top four at the BLAST.TV Austin Major, setting themselves up for a strong second half, but the team had early exits from IEM Cologne 2025 and the CS Asia Championships.
The Next Chapter of the Organization
paIN Gaming's new roster will debut at BLAST Bounty Season 1, which begins on January 13th with an online closed qualifier. Eight of the 32 teams competing will secure a LAN finals in Malta. This will present an opportunity to earn VRS points and a substantial amount of prize money.
In 2025, Vsm and piriajr competed in regional tournaments, with solid showings.
Now, paIN Gaming hopes the new-look squad will replicate and sustain the success of last Spring.
