More About the Open Tryouts
On X, Invictus Gaming posted about it. It lists much of the information mentioned above, including requirements such as being 16 or older, having at least 400 stars, and all roles being open.
That said, there's also a QR code for players to scan to apply.
Upon scanning the QR code, a Google Form will open that asks the following questions:
- Nationality
- In Game Role
- In Game Name
- Full Name
- Email
- Facebook Link
- Instagram Link
- Phone Number
- Past Teams

Above this form, there's a paragraph that reads as follows:

According to the form, this tryout isn't limited to Chinese players.
More About Invictus Gaming
In 2025, Invictus Gaming had a disappointing run, failing to qualify for the M7 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Since debuting last year, Invictus Gaming's best showing has been third at the China Professional Invitational 2025 Stage 1. The team lost 3-2 to YBINGAME in the Lower Bracket Finals.
MLBB and China
These tryouts mark a year since Invictus Gaming broke into the MLBB esports space. Furthermore, the game publisher MOONTON, which partners with the Esports Nations Cup, released this MOBA in China during the World Championship Challenge.
Also, in China, there's an MLBB league, the MLBB Pro League. This league has partnerships with smartphone brand Realme, telecommunications company China Unicom, China Minsheng Bank, and others.
China has also had representation in MLBB, with the first Chinese team competing in the M5 World Championship in 2023, as KeepBesr Gaming won the China Qualifier.
