As part of the first-ever Esports Nations Cup, the Esports World Cup Foundation has announced that Apex Legends will be part of the lineup.
The game will appear among 16 options at the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November.
From November 26 to 29, 40 teams will compete to crown the champion.
It'll start with the Group Stage when 40 teams are split into four groups of 10. This will result in a six-match series with the top 20 advancing to the Finals.
Then, similar to the Apex Legends Global Series, the Finals will have a Match Point system. Teams will then face off to reach a certain threshold, and when they've reached Match Point, they must win a game to win the championship.
The 40 teams competing will be determined by ALGS Championship Points, online qualifiers, and other wildcard spots. There will be online qualifiers from August 1 to 2, with the highest placing roster from each region earning a spot to represent their nation.
In all, the Americas receive six slots, EMEA gets nine, and the Asia Pacific South will get three.
For teams hoping to represent South Korea and Japan, they'll do so based on Championship Points, along with an online qualifier.
