According to a report by HLTV, a Counter-Strike 2 publication, the locations for two Majors in 2027 have been revealed.
First up, it's Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Shanghai, China.
HLTV reports that FiReSports will host the event in Argentina, and the company's Founder and CEO, Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes, confirmed it.
"We're very excited to host the first Major in the history of our country," he told HLTV when reached for comment. "Fans will be delighted to come to a city like Buenos Aires, a city that blends European and Latin American influences, where they will be surprised by the passion of Counter-Strike fans in Argentina. We are going to give it our all to make this a great Major."
This will be the first time a Major will be played in Argentina, and it'll also be the 14th different country a Major has been held in.

The event will run from May 31 to June 20, and this is the first time FiReSports has hosted an event of this magnitude.
This will also be the first Major in South America since IEM Rio in 2022.
As for the other location, Shanghai, it'll be hosted by Perfect World, the publisher of Counter-Strike in China.
They also hosted Perfect World Shanghai in 2024, which won Event of the Year at the HLTV Awards. That'll occur from November 22 to December 12.
These events follow IEM Cologne 2026 and the PGL Major in Singapore.
Additionally, ESL and BLAST will host Majors in 2028, but locations haven't been revealed yet.
While FiReSports has hosted events in South America over the past six years, it was set to host three Tier 1 events in 2025 alongside PGL, but those events were eventually canceled. Now, we'll see if FiReSports can pull off hosting an event of this size.
