Key Takeaways

  • Five sweepstakes casinos are leaving Tennessee
  • The sweepstakes casinos include Lucky Bits Vegas, High 5 Casino, Stake.us, RealPrize, and LoneStar Casino
  • This comes after the sweepstakes sportsbook components of Legendz, Thrillzz, Sportzino, KicKr, and ReBet left the state earlier this year

Five prominent sweepstakes casinos, High 5 Casino, Stake.us, RealPrize, Lucky Bits Vegas, and LoneStar Casino, are leaving Tennessee throughout November and December, according to Sweepsy.

With this coming so abruptly, it begs the question: Is there an unannounced wave of cease-and-desist letters sent by either the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council or Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti? It's unknown.

Messages to Players

RealPlay Tech Inc., the owner of RealPrize and LoneStar, sent a message out to players saying the following:

We’re writing to inform you about an important update to our Terms and Conditions that affects users in Tennessee, both existing and new accounts, due to changes in the regulatory landscape.

Starting November 24, 2025, RealPrize is phasing out Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) in the state of Tennessee. Effective November 24, 2025, both existing registered accounts and newly registered accounts created by users in the state of Tennessee will not be able to participate in Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) in any way.

While this news might be disappointing, we assure you this decision was not taken lightly and was made after considering various business factors.

Additionally, High 5 sent this message:

We regret to inform you that, due to recent regulatory changes, High 5 Casino Sweepstakes will be discontinuing service in Tennessee.

This transition will occur in two phases:

November 17, 2025: New players located in Tennessee will no longer be able to register. Existing players will be unable to make purchases while in Tennessee, but they may continue to make purchases when located outside the state.

November 24, 2025: Access to High 5 Casino will no longer be available for Tennessee residents.

While this change affects Sweeps Play in the state of Tennessee, your account remains open and you can continue to play where Sweeps Play is allowed.

In addition, High 5 Casino Classic app remains available for all Tennessee residents, which can be accessed through the menu of our Sweepstakes app.

All this being said, RealPlay Tech Inc. and High 5 may leave their social casino component.

Social Casino Play Safer

In states where sweepstakes casinos are being banned or hit with cease-and-desist notices, brands are doing one of two things: Shutting down altogether or leaving social casino gameplay live.

What is social casino gameplay? That's another phrase used for Gold Coins-only play.

Gold Coins cannot be redeemed for real cash prizes like Sweeps Coins, so these are OK in most states. Players can play with them and purchase them. The issue with Sweeps Coins is the redemption aspect of using and playing with them.

Other Sweepstakes Platforms Shut Down Recently

These moves come shortly after brands like Legendz, Thrillzz, Sportzino, KicKr, and ReBet's sweepstakes sportsbooks shut down. They were announced as voluntary departures.

So, either another wave of cease-and-desists went out, or these five sweepstakes casinos saw the writing on the wall and decided to close up that portion of the shop before the end of 2025.

We'll continue to keep an eye on Tennessee as the days in 2025 wind down.
