Station Casinos has launched a tribute to conservative figure Charlie Kirk in multiple Las Vegas venues. Digital marquees at Sunset Station, Palace Station, and other locations now display: "In loving memory of Charlie Kirk 1993 – 2005." Charlie was fatally shot on September 10 during his "American Comeback Tour" at Utah Valley University.

The FBI has arrested suspect Tyler Robinson, 22, who allegedly used a bolt-action rifle to fire from the Losee Center rooftop, which is about 200 yards from where Kirk hosted his "Prove Me Wrong" discussions with students. Forensic teams confirmed the single-shot trajectory matched the rooftop positioning.

Party Ties Inspire Memorial

Station Casinos' status as the only Valley operator honoring Charlie Kirk is expected, considering owners Frank III and Lorenzo Fertitta's allegiance to the Republican Party. The brothers, who control Station and Red Rock Resorts, donated $924,600 to Trump's 2024 committee in August 2024. While they are not direct donors to Turning Point USA, casino mogul and former Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn contributed $500,000 to the organization in July 2024, according to campaign filings.

Campus Crusades Forged Vegas Ties

Charlie Kirk's campus activism, criticized by democrats as ideological provocation, cemented his Nevada connections long before his assassination. The conservative activist last visited Las Vegas in October 2024 during Trump's rally at the University of Nevada (UNLV). He declared to a packed Thomas & Mack Arena, "We are just 12 days from taking back this country, and it starts in Las Vegas."

He had made an earlier stop at UNLV in October 2023 during his "Brainwashed Tour" with then co-host Tulsi Gabbard, where he argued liberal academia "weaponizes classrooms against critical thinking" in the campus Free Speech Zone.

Kirk later highlighted Clark County's early voting numbers at the event, urging supporters, "When you vote early, you send a message, Democrats don't know what's going on."

Charlie Kirk's assassination occurred as he was responding to a student's query: "Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?" His final reply, "Counting or not counting gang violence?" preceded the fatal shot to the neck, witnessed by 3,000 attendees. President Trump ordered flags to be flown at half-staff countrywide until September 14 following Kirk's death at Timpanogos Regional Hospital.
