Key Takeaways

  • A1 Development LLC is the parent company for TaoFortune, NoLimitCoins, and Fortune Wheelz
  • The footer on those sites lists 21+, but registration still shows 18+
  • This came days before Montana’s SB555 effectively banned sweepstakes casinos.

With legislation coming against sweepstakes casinos, A1 Development LLC has changed the minimum age requirement across multiple brands, going from 18+ to 21+.

A1 Development Brands Changed to 21+

TaoFortune, NoLimitCoins, and Fortune Wheelz, which all belong to A1 Development LLC, have increased their minimum player age from 18+ to 21+. Other A1 brands, Funrize and FunzCity, are still set at 18+.

However, there’s something to note: The change to 21+ is on the footer of their pages, whereas the registration process still lists 18+.

There has been no official communication of the change, and it could simply be poor maintenance, but the footer being changed to 21+ signals the age requirement increase.

Thus, if you are between 18 and 20, contact customer support for further details.

Other Platforms Doing This

TaoFortune, NoLimitCoins, and Fortune Wheelz aren’t the only ones to have made the change. VGW, the parent company of sweepstakes casinos like Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, and Global Poker, has increased the age requirement to 21+, doing so in February.

Additionally, Stake.us, High 5 Casino, Kickr, Sweepstake.ai, and Baba Casino did the same.

There are still plenty of platforms out there with the 18+ requirement, but a shift appears to be happening so that these sweepstakes casinos can align with standards in the United States, where you need to be 21 to gamble. This appears to be a more proactive approach to potentially avoid legal backlash.

Why Change This Now?

As mentioned, sweepstakes casinos are certainly facing some mounting legal pressure. In 2025 alone, there have been multiple bills to ban them, and some, including Montana’s SB555, have passed and will take effect in the future.

There have also been cease-and-desist letters sent to companies, such as Delaware’s, to VGW.

So, while this age requirement change may not change much ultimately, it could be a show of good faith to regulators.

We’ll see what happens as more bills are pushed nationwide against sweepstakes casinos.
