Key Takeaways

  • PLAYSTUDIOS launches Win Zone amid sweeping regulatory crackdowns nationwide
  • The beta for Win Zone is live in 15 states
  • In 2025, California, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Montana passed and signed bills into law to ban sweepstakes casinos

At a time when sweepstakes casino platforms are leaving various states, whether it’s because of legislation or the appropriate governing bodies sending cease-and-desist notices to operators, there’s some news on the other side of things: a new sweepstakes product is in beta.

Officials from PLAYSTUDIOS announced during a Q3 highlights call that the company will be launching Win Zone, a new sweepstakes product, in all eligible states in the United States in 2026.

PLAYSTUDIOS is the company behind products like myVEGAS Slots, myVEGAS Blackjack, Solitaire, and Tetis. It’s also a member of the Social Gaming Leadership Alliance alongside Virtual Gaming Worlds (Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, Global Poker).

Beta Already Available In Select Locations

According to PLAYSTUDIOS Chairman and CEO Andrew Pascal, the beta for Win Zone is available in the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

“We started with a standalone web-based product to build capability,” Pascal said, “and over time, we’ll evolve it into a fully integrated promotional engine supporting chip sales across our casino portfolio, with selective strategic acquisitions as a potential accelerant.”

“As we refine the product, we’re seeing steady improvements across retention, engagement, and monetization, resulting in our highest returns on ad spend.”

2025 Has Been A Rough Year For Sweepstakes Casinos

In 2025 alone, we’ve seen multiple states, including Montana, New Jersey, Connecticut, and California, pass bills and sign them into law. There’s also New York, which passed a bill, but hasn’t been signed just yet.

Then, there are other states, such as West Virginia, Louisiana, and Arizona, which don’t have official laws on the books, but the governing bodies in the state and the Attorneys General are coming after sweepstakes casinos, sending out numerous cease-and-desist notices.

Despite the tumultuous year, Pascal believes in the remaining market, referring to Win Zone as having a “long-term opportunity” in states where there are fewer restrictions.
