Key Takeaways

  • B-Two Operations is the operator behind McLuck, Hello Million, Spin Blitz, and Play Fame
  • Each sweepstakes casino has removed Alabama and Georgia from its excluded states list
  • There have been 13 lawsuits against sweepstakes casinos in Alabama

B-Two Operations, the company and operator behind sweepstakes casinos such as McLuck, Hello Millions, PlayFame, and SpinBlitz, has removed two states from its excluded states list: Georgia and Alabama.

The change happened on Aug. 7. While it’s impacted those four sweepstakes casinos, nothing has seemingly changed for Jackpota or Mega Bonanza, two other sweepstakes casinos under the B-Two umbrella.

Examining Alabama and Georgia

Alabama is one of those states where sweepstakes casinos began adding to their excluded lists. It wasn’t for any legislation, though. Rather, there are plenty of lawsuits against sweepstakes casinos in Alabama. Right now, there are 13, and they're against companies like VGW, WOW Vegas, Blazesoft Limited, and more.

Other sweepstakes casinos that had Alabama as an excluded state were platforms like Sidepot, Spree, Thrillzz, Stackr, Pulsz, and more.

In Georgia, a lawsuit was filed against VGW in May 2024, but it was later dismissed.

In the midst of that, Zula Casino left Georgia but returned after the lawsuit against VGW was dismissed.

It’s not uncommon for lawsuits against sweepstakes casinos to be dismissed, as their terms and conditions typically feature arbitration requirements.

Still, when there are 13 lawsuits in Alabama and more than 50 nationwide, that’ll certainly have some effect.

Updated List of Where McLuck, Hello Millions, and More Are Restricted

If you’re wondering where you cannot access McLuck, Hello Millions, SpinBlitz, and PlayFame, the list includes: Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and West Virginia.

That said, there are some changes regarding sites like Hello Millions, PlayFame, and SpinBlitz in California, considering the status and stature of Assembly Bill 831

B-Two asked their affiliate partners to cease marketing to players in California on July 22. It asked that of Hello Millions, PlayFame, and SpinBlitz, but not McLuck.

Mega Bonanza also ceased promo materials for CA players on July 20.

AB 831 will be heard before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Aug. 18.
