Maxx Crosby Trade Speculations Intensify
In recent days, trade rumors involving Maxx Crosby have gained traction on social media, with analysts speculating on potential destinations. Adam Schefter noted that if the Raiders consider trading Crosby, they would seek a return comparable to what the Dallas Cowboys received for Micah Parsons.
The team got a two-time All-Pro edge rusher traded for Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.
Despite the swirling speculation, both Kubiak and the Raiders expressed a strong desire to retain Crosby. Although he was not present at the press conference, Kubiak revealed he met with Crosby earlier in the day, stating, “I got to drink a cup of coffee with Maxx this morning… He’s one of the best players in the NFL, so it’s a no-brainer to get to work with Maxx and see him continue to have success with this organization.”
Raiders Plan for Future with Mendoza
The Las Vegas Raiders, who finished the season with a dismal 3-14 record, hold the coveted No. 1 overall draft pick in the upcoming draft on April 23. With odds of +18000 to win the Super Bowl next year, the team is widely expected to select Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza. He is currently favored at -7000 to be the first pick at FanDuel.
Discussions surrounding how to maximize Mendoza’s potential were central during Kubiak’s interviews with the organization. This included team GM John Spytek and minority owner Tom Brady. Kubiak is known for his successful tenure as offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks and has a strong reputation for developing high-scoring offenses.
Kubiak’s Offensive Success
Under Klint Kubiak’s guidance, the Seattle Seahawks set franchise records for the most points in a single season (483) and the largest point differential (+191). Quarterback Sam Darnold thrived after being released by the Minnesota Vikings. This earned him a second Pro Bowl selection with a completion rate of 67.7%, totaling 4,048 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
