The gaming giant’s application had long been considered a frontrunner for approval since it already maintains a racino in downstate New York.

Cohen’s bid joins Bally’s Bronx proposal, MGM Empire City, and Resorts World NYC as those that will go to the Gaming Facility Location Board for a final review.

Bally’s is the third proposal to be approved for a final review, while The Coney is the fourth to be rejected. One CAC vote remains.
