License Clears Expansion Path
Holland Gaming Technology received its sports betting license from Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), marking its entry into the sector after years of dominance in Dutch online casino gaming.
The license allows the company to diversify beyond its core market, broadening its gaming portfolio. The expansion is also a natural progression considering the company’s success in the casino sector.
Leadership Agrees on Alignment
Kambi Group CEO Werner Becher underscored the compatibility between the two firms, noting the joint potential of technological innovation and localized market knowledge. “We’re excited to partner with Holland Gaming Technology as they expand into sports betting for the first time,” he stated, pointing to the operator’s marketing proficiency and industry acumen as propelling factors for deploying Kambi’s Turnkey solution in the Netherlands.
Holland Gaming Technology Director Eddy Hultermans framed the collaboration as a calculated progression, using Kambi’s infrastructure to mitigate entry risks. “Launching a sportsbook is a natural evolution for business,” Hultermans explained, emphasizing that the combination of his team’s gaming experience with Kambi’s technical capabilities will create competitive offerings. The executive’s remarks paint the alliance as a convergence of operational expertise and state-of-the-art technology to capture emerging opportunities in regulated Dutch sports betting.
Global Reach and Local Expertise
Kambi continues to establish alliances in regulated European markets, using Holland Gaming’s domestic insights to navigate the Netherlands’ law-driven industry. This approach enables Kambi to deliver an adaptable sportsbook infrastructure while ensuring regulatory compliance in new jurisdictions.
This strategy centers on Kambi’s modular product ecosystem, featuring its flagship Turnkey Sportsbook alongside specialized tools like Odds Feed+ for dynamic pricing and AI-driven trading via Tzeract. The esports vertical, powered by subsidiary Abios, and front-end solutions from Shape Games, complete its end-to-end architecture.
