Futuristic Security
IvedaAI CEO and Founder David Ly emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating, “By designing camera layouts around IvedaAI’s real-time analytics, Subic Sun can optimize coverage, reduce blind spots, and deliver safe, smoother guest experiences.”
This integration highlights a shift in the global resort industry towards prioritizing safety and operational efficiency. Meanwhile, the industry continues to expand from $347 billion in 2024 and is expected to hit $945 billion by 2030.
The resort is scheduled for a December 2025 launch and will be located in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, a thriving hub for international commerce. It will feature 500 rooms across two Accor properties: Ibis Styles (175 rooms) and Mercure (250 rooms). The internationally branded hotels, expansive convention center, and intelligent security are set to elevate regional hospitality standards.
An Economic Boost
The six-hectare Subic Sun Resort will include a luxury casino and duty-free stores. It will also feature diverse recreational facilities like an Americana complex, seaside clubhouse, American country club, and Dragon Restaurant. This venture brings IvedaAI closer to its target of $3million in smart-city revenue by FY26 while establishing the blueprint for future regional developments.
“We are all excited to see the realization of a magnificent architectural concept which I am certain will steer the economic growth of the freeport to greater heights,” noted Subic Bay Chairman Eduardo Jose L. Alino, highlighting the project’s potential.
Smart City Makeover
Days before announcing the Subic Sun partnership, IvedaAI confirmed its surveillance platform is fully operational across Bacoor City as part of the $3 million smart city initiative to modernize Metro Manila. The integration allows real-time detection and response to incidences. IvedaAI Forensic Desk will analyze submitted videos from phones, SD cards, and flash drives in seconds, shortening the manual scrutiny that often took hours.
