Leadership Voices Optimism
Paul Fox, Claymore’s Chairman and co-founder, highlighted the venture’s positive impact on employment and the economy. Speaking at the event, he stated: “Claymore will deliver thousands of high-quality jobs to Filipinos by supporting the growth of reputable gaming operators worldwide.” He credited President Marcos and PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco for enabling the Philippines’ emergence as a trusted gaming support hub.
Fanatics CTO Ian Botts praised the availability of talent in the Philippines for enhancing operations: “We are excited to access world-class talent to support our operations as we continue on our mission to deliver a premier gaming experience for our customers.” CFO Andrea Ellis framed the new hub as symbolic: “It represents much more than just desks and whiteboards—a physical symbol of a partnership that’s been years in the making.”
Expansion and Service Scope
Established in 2021, Fanatics Betting & gaming has rapidly grown its US footprint. Its sportsbook platform now covers 95% of the national online market, while Fanatics Casino operates in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The company also manages 22 retail sportsbooks.
Claymore Solutions counts as Fanatics’ first major client. Launched in 2023 by Nathan Kinsella and Paul Fox, Claymore offers comprehensive services spanning human resources, payroll management, recruitment support, and serviced office spaces. These services allow clients to conduct in-house hiring using the outsourcing partner’s recruitment team.
Job Market Shifts
The Fanatics-Claymore collaboration follows a significant transformation in the Philippines’ gaming landscape. Following the government’s ban on POGOs, over 40,000 Filipino workers lost gaming-related jobs. Claymore now counteracts this disruption by creating stable, long-term positions through alliances with globally regulated brands, such as Fanatics.
PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco endorsed the model, declaring it “the beginning of a transformative chapter in the Philippine BPO sector, with Special BPOs like Claymore leading the charge.”
